On Wednesday in Abu Dhabi, New Zealand overcame England by five wickets to reach their first T20 World Cup final. In the 17th over of New Zealand’s chase, things could have gone differently for Eoin Morgan’s side, but bad luck near the boundary ropes offered their opponents a lifeline at a time when England appeared to be in control. New Zealand was at 110 for four before the 17th over, needing 57 runs in 24 balls. England appeared to be in a strong position.
