With 204 games under his belt, he is one of only a handful players who have receive this much exposure in the IPL, with not one but two franchises. Ambati Rayudu play for the Mumbai Indians from 2010 to 2017, after which he purchase by the Chennai Super Kings from 2018 to 2023. During which time he appeared in 114 and 90 matches for the respective teams. Notably, he is the only player with six IPL titles, other from Rohit Sharma.

While chatting with Star Sports, Rayudu delves into the surroundings of both camp

Starting with CSK, Rayudu noted that the management and culture at CSK place a greater emphasis on the step-by-step process rather than overly focusing on results. Stating that their demeanor and moods were not prompted or impacted by outcomes.

“If we’re talking about culture, CSK concentrates on the process. They don’t spend much time analysing the results. Their mood swings are not caused by the results,” Rayudu state on Star Sports.

Moving on to the subject of MI, Rayudu said that the group had a strong winning culture, where winning was the standard and anything less was not acceptable. “MI is a little unique. MI’s culture is center around winning, and winning is everything. Their way of saying “win is a must” is known as jeetna hi hai. “There is no negotiation on winning,” said Rayudu.

Even though they both worked just as hard and lived in different environments. Rayudu also acknowledged that he thought the culture at CSK was much more supportive of him and that a player could stay longer there. He continued by saying that if a player played for MI for a long enough period of time, their minds would become chaotically unstable due to the increased emphasis on winning.

“Despite having two distinct cultures, CSK and MI both put in a lot of work at the end of the day. CSK, in my opinion, has a much better atmosphere. You have more time to play there. “Your brain will explode if you play in MI for an extended period of time,” Rayudu said.
