The ODI World Cup trophy is currently on tour across the world, with the most recent stop being at the Modern High School in Kolkata. Jhulan Goswami, a legendary former Indian bowler, welcomed the prestigious trophy to the city. She posed for photos with the trophy and several of the school’s kids wearing India shirts.
Jhulan state that winning the ODI World Cup is every cricketer’s goal and express optimism that India will be able to win the tournament for the third time when they host nine other nations later this year. The 2017 50-over World Cup will be stage entirely in India for the first time.

“Remember when Dhoni hit a six and we won the trophy after 28 minutes of excitement?” “I hope the Indian team can reclaim this trophy (on November 19 in Ahmedabad),” she continued.
The 40-year-old also asked Indian cricket fans to cheer on the players when they take the field. India’s World Cup campaign kicks off on October 8 against Australia.
“Please help our heroes this time as well. Winning and losing are both natural parts of the game. But they will always be our heroes. So please stand with them and support them,” Goswami said.

World Cup Trophy to tour 18 countries
Last month, the World Cup Trophy reached a significant milestone when it was propelled into orbit. Notably, the BCCI secretary, Jay Shah, had tweeted about this one-of-a-kind launch. After commencing its tour on June 27, the famed silverware will now travel around various cities in 18 other countries.
It will travel through 18 nations, including Kuwait, Bahrain, Malaysia, the United States of America, Nigeria, Uganda, France, Italy, the United States of America, and the host country, India. Kerala is the next destination. Trivandrum and Kochi will be the fortunate cities to host the trophy.
