Wayne Parnell: When South Africa picked their squad for three One-Day Internationals against the Netherlands in the coming weeks, Wayne Parnell became the first former Kolpak player to come in from the cold. But, in the wake of his unexpected rejection from the T20 World Cup, George Linde must be wondering what he did wrong to be ignored once more.
In September 2018, Parnell, who finished his 111th match for South Africa in October 2017, announced that he has signed a three-year Kolpak contract with Worcestershire. He was unable to play internationally as a result of this.
When the United Kingdom left the European Union at the end of January 2020, players like Parnell were reintroduced to the South African team – as long as they competed in the country’s domestic championships.
Although the regional ODI tournament has yet to be played this season, Wayne Parnell captained Western Province in the T20 league and scored 104 runs in four innings

While taking five wickets at an economy rate of 8.18. With his team sinking to 105/5 chasing 224 in a quarter-final against the Knights, he took guard and smashed 80 not out off 29 balls.
The Knights won by four runs, due in part to Rilee Rossouw, another Kolpak returnee who hit an unbeaten 112 off 55 pitches. Rossouw also scored another century and two half-centuries in five innings in that competition, where he was the leading run-scorer. He did not, however, receive an ODI call-up.

Quinton de Kock, Bjorn Fortuin, Heinrich Klaasen, Aiden Markram, Wiaan Mulder, Anrich Nortje, Kagiso Rabada. And Rassie van der Dussen is among the prominent absentees. After Bavuma fractured his thumb in the first ODI. Maharaj was in charge of a tied ODI series. And a 3-0 T20I sweep in Sri Lanka in September and October.
Maharaj, Reeza Hendricks, David Miller, Lungi Ngidi, Dwaine Pretorius. And Tabraiz Shamsi have all been retained for the T20 World Cup
Junior Dala, Beuran Hendricks, and Linde were all in the Sri Lankan ODI squad but have since been dropped. Linde is unlucky, especially because he might have replaced Shamsi. Who would have had the chance to fully heal from the groin injury he sustained at the T20 World Cup.
For the first time, Zubayr Hamza and Ryan Rickelton are in an ODI team, while Daryn Dupavillon, Ngidi, Parnell. And Khaya Zondo has been recalled based on the Lankan series. Miller and Sisanda Magala, who were both selected on Wednesday. We’re unable to play in the Colombo game due to injuries.
In South Africa, this is the Netherlands’ first international series. On November 26 and 28, the first two matches will be held in Centurion. The third match takes place on December 1 at the Wanderers. The rubber will be viewed as a chance for South Africa to earn vital World Cup Super League points.
