Zafar Gohar from April, the Pakistan spinner will join the club on a pay-as-you-play basis. The Pakistan left-arm spinner Zafar Gohar will return to Gloucestershire in 2022, as the club prepares for their first Division One season since 2005.
As Gloucestershire finished second in Division Two, Gohar took 20 wickets at a cost of 14.35 in four Championship games earlier this year, including a match total of 11 for 101 against Durham.

And Australia opener Marcus Harris to fill their overseas spots. He will be available on a pay-as-you-play basis from next April before moving on to a full contract for August and September.
“Zafar was a great hit with the fans at the conclusion of last season. And we’re optimistic that he’ll be able to make significant contributions for The Shire across all forms next season. Including the County Championship, where we’ll be competing against the top cricketers in the country in Division One.”
Gohar is Gloucestershire’s first signing since Dale Benkenstein’s appointment as head coach was confirmed earlier this week. He has played one Test and one ODI for Pakistan.
“Playing county cricket this year and making my debut for Gloucestershire fulfilled a long-held desire of mine,” Gohar said. “Putting on a Gloucestershire shirt and contributing to a winning team was a fantastic start to my career in England. And I’m looking forward to returning next year for a longer stay.”

Steve Snell, Gloucestershire Cricket’s performance director said:
“We have a team capable of taking on anyone, and we have some excellent momentum to build on from 2021. ” I’m looking forward to returning and maybe picking up where I left off.”
