Virat Kohli, the star Indian batter, marked his 35th birthday in magnificent style by scoring his 49th ODI century against South Africa during Match 37 of the ODI World Cup 2023 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Kohli batted magnificently for 101* (121) to help his team record. A mammoth score of 326/5 in their allocated 50 over. With his century, the Delhi-born cricketer equaled Sachin Tendulkar’s global record for most ODI hundreds (49).
After making history in the first two innings, the star hitter appeared to be in a high mood in the third. Notably, India claimed the wicket of the in-form Quinton de Kock (5 off 10) in the second over itself, putting South Africa under strain as they were 17/1 after five overs.
After the over, Kohli was spotted lip-syncing to Arijit Singh’s iconic song ‘Chaleya. ‘ From the current film ‘Jawan’ starring Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan. The star batter also spot swaying his leg to the tune while striking the iconic SRK posture. The audience appreciated Kohli’s brief performance as well, roaring with delight.

Ravindra Jadeja picked five-wicket haul in the second innings
In addition, After getting the first wicket early in the game, Indian captain Rohit Sharma called on Ravindra Jadeja in the powerplay itself, watching the ball grip and turn in the first innings.
