On Thursday, India was knocked out of the T20 World Cup for the second time, lost to England by 10 wickets in the second semifinal in Adelaide.
Following the game, cameras captured Indian captain Rohit Sharma wiping away tears as he appeared crushed by the loss. Head coach Rahul Dravid then calmed him down.

It was another crushing defeat for India in a significant ICC tournament.
India suffered yet another humiliating defeat in a big ICC competition, their second 10-wicket defeat in the same tournament in a year. Last year, they were defeated by Pakistan by ten wickets in Dubai, and Thursday’s result was reminiscent of that tragic night, when England openers Jos Buttler and Alex Hales reveled against the Indian bowling lineup.
Rohit played a forgettable game, collecting only 27 points off 28 balls, continuing his inconsistent record in the competition.
After a shaky start that saw India reach 38/1 after 6 overs, it was up to Hardik Pandya (63) and Virat Kohli (50) to guide India to 168 for six.
Nothing, however, could stop England, as Hales (86) and Buttler (80) chased down the mark with 4 overs to spare. On Sunday, they will face Pakistan in the final.
“You cannot go and teach people how to handle pressure. Lot of these guys play under pressure in IPL and some of them are able to handle that. When it comes to knockouts, it is about keeping calm,”
Rohit said
“We still batted well at the back end. Not good enough with the ball, definitely not a wicket where a team could chase in 17 overs. We just did not turn up with the ball,”
Rohit added
