Hong Kong qualified for the Asia Cup 2022 with an eight-wicket victory over the UAE earlier this week. Hong Kong will compete in Group A alongside seven-time champions India and Pakistan. On August 31, they will face India, and on September 2, they will face Pakistan. Following the game, the Hong Kong players were seen dancing to the hit song ‘Kala Chashma’ from the film ‘Baar Baar Dekho.’ Zeeshan Ali, a wicketkeeper-batter, shared the video, which has gone viral on social media.

Hong Kong Players Dance to ‘Kaala Chashma’
Earlier this year, a video of dancers and movement directors from the Norwegian troupe ‘Quick Style’ tapping their feet to the beats of popular party anthem ‘Kala Chashma’ at a wedding went viral. The clip shows the group putting on a high-octane performance complete with animated expressions and sleek moves.
Following their ODI series win over Zimbabwe earlier this month, the Indian team recreated the Norwegian troupe’s dance.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong went undefeated in the Asia Cup Qualifier in Oman, winning all three games.
In his post-match press conference, Hong Kong captain Nizakat Khat expressed his delight at qualifying and thanked the Hong Kong Cricket Board for their assistance.
“I’m at a loss for words to express how I feel. I’d like to thank Hong Cricket for all of their help. Our strategy was the same; we knew we needed to win all three games to qualify for the Asia Cup, and we did just that. We took it game by game, and the boys fought hard. This is a big tournament for us to show off our talent, and it’s a fantastic opportunity for everyone on this team “Nizakat stated.
