Madhya Pradesh were consider underdogs going into the Ranji Trophy final against 41-time champions Mumbai. But the Aditya Shrivastava-led side has proven that they belong at this level, putting pressure on the Prithvi Shaw-captained side. Mumbai were running away with the game in the first innings, but Madhya Pradesh bowlers took wickets at regular intervals. Mumbai were bowl out for 374, with Sarfaraz Khan top-scoring with 134.
Madhya Pradesh’s response has been brilliant with the bat, with both Yash Dubey and Shubham Sharma not giving an inch. Dubey reached the three-figure mark on Day 3 of the ongoing final, and as soon as he did, he celebrated like KL Rahul.
Yash Dubey celebrated by putting both hands in his ears and shutting out the outside noise.

Dubey hit his century in the 75th over of Madhya Pradesh’s innings against Mumbai in the ongoing Ranji Trophy final at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Shubman Sharma is also on his way to a century, and Madhya Pradesh was 228/1 at lunch, trailing Mumbai by 146 runs. Dubey and Sharma are both unbeaten with scores of 101 and 88.
Tushar Deshpande returned with the lone wicket for Mumbai, dismissing Himanshu Mantri.
Earlier, Mumbai were bowl out for 374, with Madhya Pradesh’s Gaurav Yadav taking four wickets.
