Lasith Malinga believes Mumbai Indians can recover from their winless streak. Lasith Malinga took to Twitter to express his support for the Mumbai Indians, who have yet to win a game this season.
Mumbai Indians (MI), who are currently in disarray, were defeated by Lucknow Super Giants by 18 runs on Saturday at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. The team is currently at the bottom of the 10-team table and has yet to win in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season. Despite their poor form, the Rohit Sharma-led team has received unexpected backing from former player Lasith Malinga. The legendary pacer, who is now the bowling coach for the Rajasthan Royals, took to Twitter to express his support for the franchise and to wish them a “strong finish to the season.”

“Their core group of players and the support staff definitely have the quality to pull them back”, he further added.
MI could only reach 181 for nine in 20 overs against Lucknow while chasing a target of 200 runs. Suryakumar Yadav led the team in scoring with 37 runs off 27 balls.
Avesh Khan was on fire for LSG, taking three wickets in four overs while allowing 30 runs. He explained why Rohit, Dewald Brevis, and Fabian Allen were fired.
KL Rahul’s unbeaten 103-run knock off 60 balls had initially helped LSG post 199 for four in 20 overs, setting a target of 200 runs.
