Virender Sehwag: Virender Sehwag only proposed a lineup change after losing to Pakistan in 10 wickets last Sunday.
Former India Opener Virender Sehwag went to the Koo social media platform on Sunday to share what Indian players should be in an important match against New Zealand.
Virat Kohli’s team will undertake Kane Williamson’s outfit for an important match in Dubai. Pakistan is almost confident that it will move on to the final four games after winning three out of three games.
The winner of the India-New Zealand clash will have a big advantage in being second in the group and qualifying for the semi-finals.
Sehwag only proposed a change in the lineup that lost to Pakistan in 10 wickets last Sunday. He chose all-rounder Shardul Thakur instead of Bhuvneshwar Kumar in XI.
Thakur has played a major role in IPL’s Chennai Super Kings title-winning campaign and has recently become a great bowling form. For his performance, he replaced the roster Axor Patel as India refined the spare roster before the tournament began.
Other former India cricketers too took to Koo and gave their opinions. And wish to the team ahead of the big clash.
Former India captain Mohammed Azharuddin wrote:
“The ball is swinging in Dubai. England’s Woakes and Jordan bowled really well. The Indian bowlers should take a cue from them and pitch the ball higher up.
Shami and Bumrah will have to look after their lengths in order to pick up early wickets,” Kumar wrote.
Bhuvneshwar was fighting for the form in the UAE part of the IPL, but also looked very lethargic against Pakistan. Therefore, Sehwag may have chosen Inform Thakur.
Former Indian paceman Praveen Kumar talked about the need for Indian bowlers to do full-length bowling in Dubai.
