Pakistan vs Bangladesh has had a rough time in the shorter version of the game recently but will look to turn things around when the Test series against Pakistan begins in Chattogram.
After being thrashed 3-0 by the visitors in the T20 leg, Bangladesh will be hoping for much better performance in the longer format. Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Mahmud Ullah, who recently declared his retirement from the longest format, will be missing from the squad. The onus will now fall heavily on the younger players to prove their worth against a Pakistani team that is currently on a roll.
They may field as many as three debutants in the match, including Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Yasir Ali, and Rajaur Rahman Raja.
Pakistan will welcome Imam-ul-comeback Haq’s to Test cricket, but will also benefit from having a well-established batting order. In the pace department, Hasan Ali will be partnered with Shaheen Afridi.
The spinner pairings will be interesting to watch, with Sajid Khan expected to partner Nauman Ali. Faheem Ashraf will provide a sense of balance to the team.
