Mohammad Amir angrily reacts to ‘fixer’ chants, hurls abuses at a fan. Amir currently plays for Quetta Gladiators in the PSL 2024.

Mohammad Amir, a former Pakistan fast bowler. Recently seen fuming at a group of fans for referring to him as a “fixer. ” Notably, Amir is currently playing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 for Quetta Gladiators. Where he scored 1/30 on four overs against Lahore Qalandars on Sunday, March 10 in Karachi.

However, following the game, the 31-year-old seen getting into a heat argument with some fans in the audience who refer to him as a ‘fixer’. In a viral video, Amir is seen walking past a stand at Karachi Stadium while fans chant his name. However, one of them referred to him as a ‘fixer. ‘ Which did not sit well with the cricketer, who returned to confront the individual. Later in the video, Amir also seen hurling insults at the fan.

Notably, Amir involve in the spot-fixing scandal at the Lord’s Test in England in 2010. Following instructions from his captain, Salman Butt, the left-arm seamer intentionally bowled no balls. As a result, he banned for five years, as were Butt and Mohhamad Asif, the other accused.

Amir hasn’t had a memorable season in the ongoing PSL. Taking only six wickets from seven games at an average of 37.66 and an economy of 8.69. In Quetta’s most recent match, Amir took the prized scalp of Lahore’s captain Shaheen Afridi. Dismissing him for 55 (34) in the final over of the game, breaking the 91-run stand between him and Abdullah Shafique (59* off 39).

The left-arm seamer only conceded six runs in the final over, as Lahore finished on 166/4 after 20 overs. In response, Quetta got off to a solid start, with openers Jason Roy (18 off 14) and Saud Shakeel adding 39 runs for the first wicket. After losing his opening partner Roy, Shakeel held one end and brought his team to the brink of victory with a magnificent innings of 88* (65).

The game ended in a thrilling fashion when Mohammad Wasim Jr smacked Afridi for a six with four runs needed off the last ball, helping his team win by six wickets. Their victory qualified them for the tournament’s knockout stages.
