Legendary Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh sparked controversy with his remarks about Anushka Sharma and Athiya Shetty during the ODI World Cup 2023 final between India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, on Sunday, November 19.

Harbhajan expressed their doubts about understanding the game while observing Anushka and Athiya engaged in conversation at the stadium during the match. The incident happen in the 18th over of India’s innings after Hindi commentator Jatin Sapru was heard saying to Harbhajan that Anushka and Athiya might be hoping for their husbands to stay at the crease together. Notably, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were batting at that time.

“I’m not sure if they’re talking about cricket or films, but I don’t think they know much about cricket,” the former player commented.
