Virat Kohli is displaying his talent in the T20 World Cup. He hit his third half-century of the tournament on Wednesday, scoring 64* and 44b against Bangladesh. The former India captain’s knock featured eight fours and one six. He demonstrated complete mastery and was also engaged in a 67-run stand with KL Rahul (50, 32b). He provided the foundation for India’s 184/6 in 20 overs. However, there was one instance where things may have gotten out of hand. Kohli faced a short ball from Hasan Mahmud on the final delivery of the 16th over, which he pulled. Almost immediately, he signalled to the square-leg umpire the height of the pitch.
Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan ran up to Kohli and confronted him about his gesture toward the umpire. The two exchanged a grin before returning to their separate positions.

India must win their last two matches to be certain of a place in the semi-finals, although Bangladesh is also in contention.
In his 23rd T20 World Cup innings, Kohli surpassed former Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene’s record of 1,016 runs. Jayawardene set the previous World Cup record after 31 innings.
Kohli, who had previously struck two match-winning half-centuries in this World Cup, blasted his third fifty in 37 balls, energizing the Indian-dominated audience in Adelaide.
