The Indian women’s cricket team suffered a heartbreaking loss in the Commonwealth Games gold medal match, falling nine runs short of Australia. As a result, Harmanpreet Kaur’s team had to settle for a silver medal. The match was a real thriller, and India needed 17 runs in the final over to win with four wickets in hand in the final two overs. Megan Schutt and Jess Jonassen, on the other hand, remained calm for Australia, and the team eventually won.
The Indian men’s cricket team also followed the Commonwealth Games final in Florida, and the Indian cricket team’s official Instagram handle posted a photo of Rohit Sharma and co watching the game.

The Indian men’s cricket team defeated the West Indies 4-1 in the fifth and final Twenty20 International on Sunday. For the final game, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were rested.
In the women’s cricket final at the CWG, Australia captain Meg Lanning won the toss and chose to bat first.
Australia scored 161/8 thanks to Beth Mooney’s 61-run knock. Renuka Singh and Sneh Rana both took two wickets for India.
In the chase for 162, India was in command, led by Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues. However, the side collapsed from 118/2 to 152 all out, and Australia eventually won.
Harmanpreet Singh top-scored for India with 65 runs.
New Zealand had earlier won the bronze medal in women’s cricket after defeating England.
