

Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh congratulated Punjab’s new Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on his election.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won 92 of the 117 Assembly seats, outnumbering both the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) alliance.

Mann, who is also an MLA from the Dhuri Assembly Constituency. Will take the oath of office as Punjab’s new Chief Minister at Khatkarkalan in the Nawanshahr district. Harbhajan took to Twitter to share a touching photo of Mann hugging his mother.

Mann also took to Twitter to express gratitude to the people of Punjab for their support for the party.
Harbhajan announce his retirement from all forms of cricket in December of last year, capping off a 23-year career.

The former India spinner, who had made his debut in 1998. Also part of the Indian team that won the 2007 T20 World and the 2011 ODI World Cup.
