On Thursday, a private jet returned the body of Australian cricket legend Shane Warne to his hometown of Melbourne. Six days after his death at the age of 52 shocked the world.
After an eight-hour flight from Bangkok. A chartered Dassault Falcon 7X jet carrying the cricketing great’s coffin wrapped in an Australian flag landed in the evening at Melbourne’s Essendon North airport. His family is reportedly planning a private memorial for him.

After a suspected heart attack, he died of natural causes, according to an autopsy.
According to Thai police, Warne’s father state that the player has been experiencing “chest pains” and planning to return home for a check-up after the trip.

The state memorial was announce by the Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews as a tribute to a larger-than-life man who has been a reference point in his home country for the past 30 years.
“There’s no better place in the world to bid Warnie farewell than the ‘G,'” Andrews said.
