The RCB Twitter account has been hacked, and NFT-related content shared. This is not the first time RCB had a security breach, as its YouTube and Twitter accounts were hijack last year.

On January 21, the social media account of Indian Premier League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) hacked. The franchise’s official Twitter handle, ‘RCBTweets,’ rename ‘Bored Ape Yacht Club,’ and NFT-related tweets were made on it. The franchise has yet to take control of the handle and delete the undesirable stuff.

In addition, the franchise share a promotional video and a match day post for the second ODI between India and New Zealand, which is set to take place on January 21 in Raipur. This is not the first time RCB has had a similar problem; its YouTube and Twitter accounts were compromise last year before being restore by the technical team.

“Dear 12th Man Army, our Twitter account compromise a few hours ago, and we have recently regain access. We deplore the hackers’ tweet and do not condone any of the material in it, which we have since removed. “We apologize for the inconvenience,” RCB tweeted at the time.

RCB aim to end IPL title drought

Meanwhile, the Bengaluru-based franchise went into the IPL 2023 mini-auction with a small budget. They manage to get some fantastic players, including England’s Will Jacks, for INR 3.2 crore. RCB recently sign his countryman Reece Topley for INR 1.9 crore.
