Simultaneously, the veteran spinner has stated that Kohli should have played in the Zimbabwe ODIs ahead of youngster Ishan Kishan.

“India should not have selected Ishan Kishan in the side because Sanju Samson would have gotten to play all three One-Day Internationals without any extra pressure.” “Kohli should have been in the squad instead of Kishan,” Kaneria said on his YouTube channel.
“Virat Kohli should have been a part of this series.” Is the BCCI of the opinion that he should only play in major tournaments? But if he fails there, there will be more talk about his lack of form. “I believe it is an injustice to Virat Kohli,” he added.

Virat Kohli had a forgettable tour of England, where he scored 12 runs in two T20Is and 16 and 17 in two ODIs.
