Punjab Kings won their second game of the IPL 2022 on Sunday night, defeating Chennai Super Kings by 54 runs at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
Liam Livingstone, the England hero who not only sparkled with the bat but also got the job done with the ball in hand, was at the center of it all.
The Englishman, who had previously failed to establish himself in past IPL seasons, eventually arrived, smashing 60 off 32 balls and grabbing two wickets in the process.

Mukesh Choudhary, a young CSK pacer, was on the receiving end of the Englishman’s sheer force.
In the fourth over, Livingstone started the carnage.
Choudhary’s opening ball (108m six) was despatched into another dimension, followed by four more boundaries as the CSK bowler was thrashed for 26 runs.
PBKS reached 180 for eight thanks to Livingstone’s superb knock.
Chennai Super Kings, on the other hand, never really got going.
They were quickly down to 36 for five, with the top-order struggling badly.

CSK were eventually bowled out for a lowly 126 in 18 overs after Shivam Dube smashed a 30-ball 57 to add some respectability to their total.

The defeat meant that CSK, the defending champions, have now lost all three of their IPL 2022 matches.
With their second win in three matches, Punjab Kings moved up to fourth place in the IPL points table.
