Caught behind no longer to be checked for stumping referrals. Players had exploited the rule for quite some time as they got away without taking a review.
With the start of the new year, the ICC is said to have proposed several rule changes regarding the umpire’s review of a stumping. The rule has long been misused by players. The rule change will now solely focus on side-on replays and will no longer evaluate the caught-behind scenario.
A stumping allowed the team to avoid utilizing a review for caught behind. With the new rule in place, this will no longer be an option.
When India played Australia in a Test series, wicketkeeper Alex Carey used the loophole multiple times to stump the batter and get a free review. The new rule requires a fielding side to take a review for caught behind because the stumping appeal will only view the video using side-on cameras.

ICC makes several rule updates
The ICC also announced a number of amendments to their existing rules, one of which included concussion replacement. If the concussed player suspend from bowling at the time of the event, the substitute players will not be able to bowl.
