Tanzim Hasan apologizes to BCB for his vicious Facebook posts. We have told him that the BCB will watch him if he writes anything on Facebook in the future, said BCB director Jalal Yunus.

Tanzim Hasan of Bangladesh has apologize to BCB for some inappropriate Facebook statements he made years ago. Notably, the postings reappeared following his international debut in the recently concluded Asia Cup.

Jalal Yunus, BCB cricket operations head, indicated that Tanzim apologized for his actions and accepted full responsibility for some of them dating back to 2014. Furthermore, nearly four posts were deleted when they went viral following his ODI debut against India on September 15.

“A working woman will not allow her husband or children to have their way with her; she loses her charm, destroys her family, purdah, and society.” He posted on Facebook in Bangla on September 22, last year.

In April 2023, the cricketer posted a photo he said was shot in 1954 of a woman wearing a burqa and travelling in a rickshaw, most likely with her family, and he hailed it as a “golden past.”

“If you marry a girl who freely mingles at university, you can’t get your child a demure mother. ” The 20-year-old had wrote in another post (date unknown). Notably, Tanzim posted an article on not honoring Bangladesh’s victory day (December 16) when he was around 11 years old in 2014.

Jalal Yunus, BCB director, stated that he spoke with Tanzim Hasan about the situation. That he apologize for the post and stated that it was not intend to cause anyone harm. Yunus also mentioned that the cricketer had been caution and that the board will begin to monitor him. He also stated that if he continued to do so, he would face severe consequences.

“On behalf of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, the cricket operations committee spoke with Tanzim Sakib.” The media committee also contacted him. We alerted Tanzim about the debates about his Facebook posts. He stated that he did not want to offend anyone with his posts. Wrote it for himself, not for anyone else. He apologized if his posts had offended anyone’s feelings.

“He stated that he accepts full responsibility for the posts he has made about women.” He claimed not to be a sexist. We have informed him that the BCB will monitor him if he writes anything on Facebook in the future.

“We’re keeping a close eye on this [his mindset].” We shall keep an eye on him. His family is also concerned. They had not anticipated this situation. They, too, are remorseful. We will take action against him if he does something like this again. “If there is a [psychological] problem, we will help,” Yunus remarked during a press conference at the Shere Bangla National Stadium on Tuesday.
