If I had to choose, I would never go to India to play any match, not even the World Cup: Javed Miandad. “Pakistan has been to India in 2012, and even in 2016, and now it is the turn of the Indians to come here,” Miandad explain.

Javed Miandad, a former Pakistan batter, has criticized India and the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India). Miandad believes Pakistan should avoid traveling to India for the future ODI World Cup. Which is set to take place in the latter half of 2023.

He believes that the Pakistan team should not travel to India to play matches until the BCCI agrees to do so. According to the ICC’s recently reveal draft schedule. India and Pakistan will face off in the World Cup on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

However, Miandad state prior of the World Cup that it was now the Indian team’s turn to travel to Pakistan and participate in a series. India last visit Pakistan for the 50-over Asia Cup in 2008. The bilateral series has been cancel due to political issues between the two countries.

Miandad made his remarks after Pakistan compelled to host the 2018 Asia Cup in a hybrid format.

“Pakistan has visited India in 2012 and 2016, and now it is the turn of the Indians to come here. If I had to make a decisio, I would never go to India to play any match, including the World Cup. ” The Times of India quote Javed Miandad as stating. ” We are always ready to play them (India), but they never respond in the same way.”

“Pakistan cricket is bigger… We are still producing quality players, so I don’t think even if we don’t go to India. It wont make any difference to us,” he continued.

Furthermore, Miandad discussed how it is preferable to live constructively with one another and how cricket is a sport that brings people together, and political matters should not play a role in the sport.

“I always say that one cannot choose one’s neighbors, so it is better to live together by cooperating.” And I always said that cricket is a sport that brings people together and helps to clear up misunderstandings and grudges between countries,” Miandad remark.
