Former India coach Ravi Shastri has now offered some advice to the Australians in their quest to reclaim the series and win the second Test. He also suggested that they abandon their manners and preserve them for the Ashes.
“I’d want to start with some strong advise for the Australian squad. Keep the English etiquette for the Ashes. To recover from the setback in Nagpur, you need good old Aussie manners here in India “Ravi Shastri stated in his Sydney Morning Herald column.
“In Delhi, I want to see people come out and be their assertive selves. To trust their abilities and play with purpose. I was astonished by the absence of it, particularly in the second inning, when they were pounded for 91 runs. If you lose, throw punches towards the ground “He went on to say.

Shastri also believes that if Australia is to have a chance of winning the second Test in Delhi, they must abandon their allegiances to the Indian Premier League and demonstrate their hard-hitting resolve in the next match.
“I would also advise the Australians to leave their Indian Premier League teammates at home and save them for later. There was a little too much goodwill on the pitch in Nagpur for my taste. I’d want to see that hard-hitting Australian intent come to the fore in Delhi “Shastri expressed this.
