Dwayne Bravo ends his IPL career to join CSK as bowling coach. Former West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo has retired from the Indian Premier League (IPL) after 15 years of participation. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) released him last month before of the auction. Many were astonish to see him not register his name for the auction. Meanwhile, Bravo himself has stated that it is time to move on.
He has been appointed as CSK’s bowling coach for IPL 2023. Current bowling coach Laxmipathy Balaji taking a year off. Speaking about it, Bravo stated that he is excited to take on the new role with his former franchise and that he is grateful to end his career as the highest wicket-taker in IPL history.
“I’m excited about this new adventure since it’s something I envision myself doing when my playing days are done.” I like dealing with bowlers, and this is an exciting profession for me. I don’t think I have to shift much from player to coach because while I’m playing, I constantly work with bowlers and try to come up with plans and ideas on how to stay one step ahead of the batsmen. The only change is that I won’t be standing at mid-on or mid-off anymore!
“I never imagined I’d be the leading wicket-taker in IPL history. But all I care about is being a part of IPL history! “He stated.

Bravo is an important member of the Super Kings family, according to CSK CEO.
CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan praised Dwayne Bravo on his performance as one of the greatest bowlers in the IPL and welcomed him to the team’s support staff. He also looked sure that the CSK bowlers will improve under the Caribbean cricketer’s tutelage.
“Dwayne Bravo has had an outstanding career in the IPL. He has been an important member of the Super Kings family for over a decade, and we are pleased to continue our relationship. Bravo’s extensive knowledge will be invaluable to our athletes and support personnel. We are optimistic that our bowling league will grow under his leadership “Kasi said.
