LSG players will wear jerseys with their mother’s name against KKR in the IPL 2022. Mother’s Day is on May 8, and LSG has planned a wonderful gesture for the occasion.
The newcomers Lucknow Super Giants have been one of the most consistent teams in this tournament. Playing some outstanding cricket thus far. In fact, they’ve been on a roll since losing to the RCB a fortnight ago and haven’t looked back since.
As Lucknow looks to improve their playoff chances, the team made a noble gesture during their weekend match on Mother’s Day. They have officially announced their initiative just moments before their next IPL 2022 match against the Kolkata Knight Riders. In their next game, all of the players will wear jerseys with their mothers’ names.

In fact, LSG have also posted a video of these new jerseys on their official Twitter handle and captioned it as, “This one’s for you, Maa.” Now THAT’s how you prepare for Mother’s Day – the #SuperGiant way!”
The LSG players have been wearing light blue jerseys this season, but for Mother’s Day, the color has been changed to grey, with the names and numbers of the players’ mothers printed in orange.
In the IPL 2022 points table, LSG is ranked second.
On May 7, the KL Rahul-led side will face the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. KKR will enter this match on the back of a well-deserved seven-wicket victory over the Rajasthan Royals. However, they had lost five consecutive games prior to their last victory and cannot afford to slip up from here on out if they are to keep their playoff hopes alive as the season comes to a close.
In terms of LSG, a win here would move them one step closer to securing a playoff spot. They currently sit second in the IPL 2022 points table, having won seven of ten matches and totaling 14 points at a net run rate of +0.397.
