Rubel Hossain: Bangladesh’s fast bowler Mohammad Saifdin has been excluded from the ongoing T20 World Cup due to back pain.
The 24-year-old has been replaced by senior fast bowler Rubel Hossain in a team of 15 people.
According to team officials, Saifuddin complained of pain on the left side of his back after the last match against Sri Lanka.
“We will understand the gravity of his injury after he returns back to Bangladesh. But since he cannot make a comeback in the tournament we opted for a replacement,” said Rabeed Imam, senior manager of media and communications at BCB, Wednesday (10).
Saifuddin also struggled on his back at the 2019 World Cup. And took cortisone shots to keep playing. But when he missed a few games along the way, the young man urged criticism.
