Scorchers, After winning the toss, the Stars break down, going 9 for 97, and Beth Mooney scores a half-century in the chase. Perth Scorchers thrashed Melbourne Stars at Karen Rolton Oval to move into second place on the WBBL ladder.
For the second time in as many games, Scorchers bowled first and restricted their opponents to under 100 runs
With Alana King, Sophie Devine, and Heather Graham each taking two wickets, Devine and Beth Mooney bowled a faultless chase to reach the mark of 98 in 9.1 overs.
Mooney ended up with a batting average of 57 from 38 balls, while Devine was unbeaten on 35.

The Stars won the toss and chose to bat. However they were bowled out in the second over by Meg Lanning
After losing Annabel Sutherland for a duck, King bowled Maia Bouchier. And Elyse Villani for ducks to leave Stars struggling at 4 for 24.
After moving across her stumps to sweep behind square, the legspinner bowled Bouchier around her legs. To get rid of Villani, King used one of the tournament’s delivery. Villani was perplexed as to how her forward defense had been breached as she delivered a leg break that drifted in. Pitched on middle, and spun past the edge to nick the top of off from wide of the crease.
The chase was made easy by the WBBL’s greatest opening combination. Who smashed 14 boundaries and a six to achieve the target in just 10.5 overs. Mooney’s third score of 50 or more in the event. It was the equal second-largest win chase in WBBL history, with 55 balls to spare.
