Jasprit Bumrah: With the two wickets, Bumrah now has 64 wickets in T20 internationals, making him the most successful Indian bowler in the format.
In a Super 12 encounter of the 2018 ICC T20 World Cup in Dubai, Jasprit Bumrah picked up two wickets and gave out just 10 runs in 3.4 overs to help India knock Scotland out for 85 runs in just 17.4 overs.
Virat Kohli, India’s captain, eventually won the toss on his birthday and chose to bat.
From the start, the Indian bowlers were on the money, with Bumrah commencing the carnage by clean bowling Scotland’s captain Kyle Coetzer.
The Indians continued to take wickets at regular intervals. And only four Scottish batters managed to reach double figures, with opener George Munsey leading the way with a score of 24.
Apart from Bumrah’s twin strikes, Ravindra Jadeja (3/15) in four overs. And Mohammed Shami (3/15) in three overs were the top of the bowlers. With Ravichandra Ashwin picking up one wicket.

Making him the most successful Indian bowler in the format. Bumrah got past Yuzvendra Chahal, a leg-spinner who has 63 wickets but is not in the T20 World Cup roster.
Ravichandran Ashwin is third on the list with 55 wickets. Having played a T20I for the first time in over four years in India’s triumph against Afghanistan on Wednesday.
With 50 wickets, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is fourth on the list. While Ravindra Jadeja rounds out India’s top five wicket-takers with 43 wickets.
For the past few years, Bumrah has been India’s top fast bowler in all forms. And has performed admirably for the squad. He hopes to do well against Namibia in the final Super 12 match. And for the team to make it to the semi-finals.
