Virat Kohli The ace Indian batter recently stated that when reflecting on his journey from the past to the present.
He avoids using words such as “struggle” and “sacrifice.” The 35-year-old reiterated that he is simply doing something he enjoys.
“Honestly, sitting in my position, I can’t use words like struggle and sacrifice. For me, there has been no struggle or sacrifice. “I am doing what I love,” Virat told host Gaurav Kapoor during a talk show.
Kohli elaborated on his point, stating that someone who cannot afford two square meals per day is truly struggling. He emphasized that, while hard work is often portrayed as a struggle, it is necessary to provide for one’s family.
“The one who doesn’t get two square meals in a day is struggling.” Aap apne hard work ko struggle bol ke usko glorify kar sakte ho, uspe cherry on top laga sakte ho, aapko koi nahi bol raha hai gym mein jaane ke liye, but you must feed your family. (You can glorify your hard work by referring to it as a struggle; no one is asking you to go to the gym, but you must feed your family),” he said.
The former India captain went on to say that he is grateful for his current position. He admitted that when compared to the real challenges people face in life, his own concerns pale in comparison.
“I am just grateful; actually, I am in a privileged position because I am able to do what I have always wanted to do. I play a sport as a profession. It is not done when you consider the real problems that people face in life. You can’t compare getting out of a Test series to someone who doesn’t have a roof over his head,” he continued.
