In a huge development for Team India before of their next three-match ODIs against South Africa. It was announced that Rahul Dravid’s regular coaching team will not be present in the upcoming ODI series. With nearly 75 players in South Africa for the multi-format series, there have been numerous shuffles in the teams, as well as in the coaching staff.

Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman has frequently filled in for Dravid in his absence; but, this time is different. It’s worth mentioning that, rather than coaching India in the ODI series, Dravid’s staff will be in charge of a three-day match in Pretoria from December 20 to 22, prior of the Test series.

Sitanshu Kotak and the National Cricket Academy (NCA) staff will lead the coaching staff for the three-game ODI series. According to multiple sources, Ajay Ratra will be the fielding coach for the ODI series. Rajib Dutta, who is affiliate with the NCA, will be the bowling coach.

Dravid’s team is concentrating entirely on the longest format and preparing to make a strong start to the World Test Championship standings. The first Test is set to begin on December 26 at Centurion’s SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium.

SA vs IND: India look to recoup after T20I series draw

After drawing the T20I series, Team India would be eager to put up solid performances in the remaining matches. The match began with the first T20I being call off due to weather.

The Proteas cruised to victory in the second T20I. Finding themselves in a difficult situation, the Men in Blue needed to win the third T20I to even the series, and the Suryakumar Yadav-led side accomplished just that, defeating the hosts by an innings and a half.

However, the team will strive to improve in the ODI series as well as the two Test matches. It is worth noting that KL Rahul will captain India in ODIs, while Rohit Sharma will captain the team in Tests.
