“They became a little concerned. I understand that he [Shami] has bowled beautifully from around the wicket and has removed numerous left-handers. Travis Head held his own against him. “You must have noticed Shami bowled a couple of wide balls,” Akram was cited by Sportskeeda as saying.

Shami was not psychologically prepared to face the new ball.

During the chase, Australia was struggling after losing three early wickets in the first powerplay due to brilliant bowling by Jasprit Bumrah and Shami, but Travis Head showed great resilience and stitched a brilliant 192-run partnership with Marnus Labuschagne to seal the deal for the Aussies quite comfortably.
Head’s century also transformed the game for Australia, taking the heat off Labuschagne, according to Akram.
“Travis Head transformed the game. The manner he batted relieved all of Labuschagne’s burden. “Both India and Australia knew it was all about one wicket,” Akram remarked of the Australian opener.
