KL Rahul batted well for 102 (64) with 11 fours and four sixes. The wicketkeeper hitter also had the quickest century by an Indian batter in the ODI World Cup, hitting the milestone in just 62 balls. During his innings, the Bengaluru crowd was treated to some of the most beautiful shots from Rahul’s bat as he displayed his vast range of strokes.
He played his trademark flick on the second ball of the 50th over to get to his century in style.

Aside from Rahul, Shreyas Iyer also hit a century, finishing unbeaten on 128* (94) with 10 fours and five sixes. Rahul and Iyer contributed 208 runs for the fourth wicket off 127 balls to enable India reach 400 runs. Earlier in the innings, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill got India off to a flying start. Scoring 100 runs off 71 balls for the first wicket. Gill finished with 51 (32) points, while Rohit finished with 61 (54).
