Catherine Dalton has been signed as the fast-bowling coach for PSL Multan Sultans. Making her the first female coach in PSL history and the first female fast-bowling coach of a top-level men’s side. The official announcement is scheduled for later today.

She has visited Pakistan twice before. During earlier visits, she worked closely with a number of fast bowlers, including Mohammad Ilyas, Sameen Gul, and Arshad Iqbal, as well as developing several Under-19 players.
Dalton has an ECB-certified Level 3 Advanced Coach accreditation and has previously held coaching jobs at the national fast-bowling program in the UK and the Ultimate Pace Foundation in India. Her background includes working with prominent players such as Deepak Chahar. Dalton, along with Ian Pont and Andre Nel, was the assistant head coach of the National Fast-Bowling Academy in the United Kingdom.
“Having worked in Pakistan with some of the Multan Sultan players on two previous visits. I am really thrill to be officially joining up with the franchise at the PSL.” Dalton said of her new role.
“The fact that a female fast-bowling coach is working in a major men’s T20 franchise is not lost on me. ” “I am extremely grateful for the opportunity and cannot wait to hopefully make a difference on multiple levels. ” She added.

Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen had a tremendous conviction in Dalton’s ability.
Meanwhile, Ali Tareen, owner of the PSL franchise Multan Sultans, expressed his thoughts on Catherine Dalton’s historic signing. Dalton, according to Tareen, has been an important component of the franchise’s player development program for the last five years. The owner has a sense of trust in her after closely observing how efficiently she handles with young players and helps them progress in person.
“Catherine has been a part of our player development program for nearly five years. ” I’ve witness firsthand how she’s helped players grow. I knew she’d make it as a high-level fast-bowling coach. “I’m glad her first chance came at the Sultans,” Tareen said.
Multan Sultans are preparing up for another exciting season with Catherine Dalton as their fast-bowling coach, ready to make history in the world of cricket coaching, with the PSL guaranteed to take place between February 8 and March 24, 2024.
