Shot of the Day- Joe Root’s Reverse-Scoop Masterpiece. Joe Root played a brilliant knock of 77 (86).
The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 got off on Thursday, October 5. England and New Zealand facing off in the tournament’s opening match. The toss was won by New Zealand captain Tom Latham, who requested England to bat first. Matt Henry, who struck out starter Dawid Malan in the eighth over of the game, validated the decision.
