India’s World Cup campaign will begin with a friendly match against England in Guwahati
Followed by a second friendly match against the Netherlands on October 3 in Thiruvananthapuram. Australia will be the opponent for the Rohit Sharma-led team’s opening league match on Sunday, October 8 at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium.
