Pakistan cricketers yet to receive visas for ODI World Cup 2023. On September 29, Pakistan will play a warm-up game against New Zealand.
Pakistan cricketers have failed to acquire visas to travel to India for the forthcoming One-Day International World Cup, which begins on October 5. The Babar Azam-led team is scheduled to fly early on August 27, but a visa delay could cause them to arrive late for the major competition. They are scheduled to play a warm-up game against New Zealand on September 29. The PCB has conveyed their discontent with the situation.
The Zaka Ashraf-led organization is currently in contact with the International Cricket Council (ICC) in order to resolve the matter. Interestingly, they are the only competing team that has not received a visa. Thus PCB urge the world body to intercede and has also required written guarantees from BCCI that visas will be issue to all participating teams.
“It is disappointing that the Pakistan team is facing such uncertainty ahead of the major tournament.” “We’ve been reminding [them] about their obligations for the past three years, and it’s all come down to the last two days, with our first warm game scheduled for September 29,” PCB stated in a statement.

Pakistan going through a bad patch of form
Pakistan must improve their form in preparation for the World Cup. The Babar Azam-led side humiliated by India in the recently ended Asia Cup, and they also lost to Sri Lanka. As a result of this, the team finished last in the Super Four standings.
Meanwhile, Hasan Ali has replaced Naseem Shah on the World Cup squad, thus the team will be without him. During the Asia Cup, the teenager injured his shoulder and unable to return to the team. He was outstanding in the continental tournament, so this is a significant setback for the national squad.
Hasan, on the other hand, will bring experience with him. He has played in 60 One-Day Internationals for his country, taking 91 wickets in the process. Aside from that, Pakistan has picked the same squad that competed in the Asia Cup.
