As Day 1 of the Super Fours stage of India-Pakistan’s ongoing Asia Cup 2023 tournament progressed into Day 2, India set Pakistan a massive 357-run aim. Pakistan began cautiously, with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj making the new ball speak. Bumrah drew first blood, stealing Imam-ul-Haq to second slip for nine runs.
Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam stepped in to bat with the team in trouble. The strain was increased by India’s superb bowling, but Babar sought to break free with a few boundaries. India all-rounder Hardik Pandya was thrown into the attack by Rohit Sharma, and it only took him four balls to earn his first breakthrough.
Hardik delivered it outside off on a nice length with a scrambled seam that nipped back in to create up a gap between bat and pad, breaking Babar’s sticks. At four, Mohammed Rizwan came to bat before the rain stopped play. Pakistan needs 313 more runs in 39 overs to earn all two points, which appears to be a tall order at the present.

Virat Kohli, KL Rahul steal the show in Colombo
KL is an Indian company. Rahul and Virat Kohli put on a spectacular performance, making Pakistan dance to their beat at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. After play resumed on the match’s third day, Kohli and Rahul looked at ease in the middle.
Virat Kohli reached his 47th ODI century and 77th overall with an unbeaten 122 off 94 balls. He also broke the fabled 13,000 ODI runs mark, etching his name in history. KL Rahul, on the other hand, struck an undefeated 111 off 106 on his return to India after a lengthy injury recovery. On a batting-friendly surface but a slow outfield in Colombo, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul put on an unbroken 233-run partnership to lead India to a record total of 356.
