Shaheen Afridi unleashed his wrath on India once more during their Group A match in Asia Cup 2023. Bowling a stunning performance of 4/35 in ten overs. His four-wicket haul comprised the scalps of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Ravindra Jadeja, all of whom were coveted. Shaheen’s session reminded supporters of his legendary three-wicket haul against India in the 2021 T20 World Cup, which helped Pakistan defeat India for the first time in World Cup history.
During that game, commentator Nasser Hussain’s statement “They can’t play him” to describe India’s troubles against Shaheen went viral all over the internet. The phrase has recently resurfaced, with the former Pakistan Prime Minister using it in a Tweet to compliment Shaheen for his threatening performance against India in the Asia Cup.

Mohammad Rizwan recently queried about the use of this phrase to praise Afridi.
He responded by noting that given the talent of Pakistan’s fast bowlers. They can offer difficulties for all hitters, not only India.
“Our fast bowlers were critical in propelling us to the top spot. ” And the three quick bowlers we’re talking about will make life difficult not only for the Indian top order, but for every team. They are exceptional bowlers. And our bench strength is also quite good, which is why we’ve gone to the top. ” Rizwan was cited as saying by HindustanTimes.
In addition, Rizwan lauded India for putting up a good total despite losing early wickets in the previous game between the two teams.
