28th of August 2023, New Delhi: The Lanka Premier League 2023 has given cricket in Sri Lanka a new voice. Posting the best TV and internet reach of any league since its debut in 2020 in its fourth season. The league’s rights holder, IPG Group, received praise from legendary cricketers Sanath Jayasuriya and Wasim Akram for securing a milestone TV reach of 650 million viewers as well as close to 400 million unique viewers on YouTube and other social media platforms for the live matches.

An amazing increase of more than 160% in TV reach over the previous season. It also attracted 359 million internet viewers to making the LPL 2023 a blockbuster.
“I thought this year’s Lanka Premier League was fantastic. People all over the world were eager to witness this league. The renowned Sri Lankan player Jayasuriya, who served as the director of cricket for Dambulla Aura. Remark that it is played all over the world and that IPG Group has done a tremendous job of guaranteeing that.
Both cricketing greats commended the caliber of the play on display, and Samantha Dodanwela, the tournament director, thanked LPL 2023 and all the sponsors for helping to boost Sri Lanka’s economy by bringing in more foreign exchange and investments.

More than two lakh people watched the top-notch, thrilling cricket action live in the Season 4’s packed stadiums. Popular international cricketers like Babar Azam, Shakib Al Hasan, and David Miller, as well as well-known Sri Lankan players like Thisara Parera, Wanindu Hasaranga, Angelo Mathews, and Dasun Shanaka, among many others, ensured a high standard of play on the field.
