Prasidh Krishna expects a rousing comeback following his recovery. Krishna had a lumbar spine injury during the Zimbabwe trip in 2022, which sidelined him for nearly a year.
Prasidh Krishna, a young Indian seamer, is undergoing rehabilitation at the NCA in Bengaluru. During the Zimbabwe tour in 2022, the 27-year-old suffered a lumbar spine injury that sidelined him for nearly a year. The Karnataka-born seamer has amassed remarkable figures in his brief ODI career. 25 wickets from 14 matches at an average of 23.92 and an economy of 5.32.
Krishna has learned the hard way that injuries are a part of a fast bowler’s career after spending time away from the game. He recently highlight how being hopeful help him get through a difficult period as he prepare to make a comeback.
“I’m not the type of person who gets thrill or nervous about anything. I approach it with caution. As fast bowlers, you sign up for injuries, you sign up for long days, you sign up for hard effort… it’s all part of the game. It’s difficult when everyone is playing a lot of cricket. “There’s so much going on and you’re sitting at home not really being available for selection,” Krishna told ESPNCricinfo.
The Board of Control
for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently provided an update on Krishna’s fitness. Stating that the fast bowler is nearing the end of his rehabilitation. The Medical Team is satisfied with his improvement and will make a final determination after evaluating him after the practice games.

Prasidh Krishna was the Rajasthan Royals’ second-highest wicket-taker in the IPL 2022.
Due to his injury, the 27-year-old also missed the IPL 2023. The Rajasthan Royals bringing in Sandeep Sharma in his substitute. Krishna instrumental in Rajasthan’s fantasy run in the 2022 season, finishing as the second-highest wicket taker for his team, with 19 wickets from 17 matches at an average of 29.
Krishna, who missed out on a spot in the ODI World Cup 2023 squad, will be anxious to make the T20 World Cup 2024 squad following his rehabilitation.
