The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed the schedule for the ODI World Cup 2023 last month. Five games, including one semifinal, will be played at Kolkata’s iconic Eden Gardens stadium during the mega-event. Snehasish Ganguly, the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), has disclosed the costs of World Cup tickets.

Notably, the historic venue will host five games, including the second semi-final, England vs. Pakistan, India vs. South Africa, and Netherlands vs. Bangladesh.

Tickets for the opening match between the Netherlands and Bangladesh start at INR 650, while those for the second match between Pakistan and Bangladesh and the fourth match between the United Kingdom and Pakistan start at INR 800 and INR 2200, respectively.
In addition, On the other side, prices for the second semi-final and the India vs. South Africa game range from INR 900 to 3000. Notably, Kolkata was unable to host the India vs. England match during the 2011 ODI World Cup, which was played in India, because the venue’s construction was not complete.

Eden Gardens may get to host the high-octane India vs Pakistan game in upcoming ODI World Cup

The iconic stadium will, however, get to host a number of high-profile games in the 2019 edition, possibly including an India vs. Pakistan semifinal. According to the schedule, India will play its semifinal game in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. However, if Pakistan is their opponent in the semi-final, they would play that game on November 16 at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens.
