Ganguly opines on India-Pakistan matches ahead of ODI WC. On October 15, India and Pakistan will square off in a high-octane contest at Ahmedabad’s renowned Narendra Modi Stadium.
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly gave a frank assessment on the country’s rivalry with Pakistan ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup. Notably, the BCCI has reveal the much-anticipate itinerary for the showpiece ODI event, which is set to begin on October 5 in India.
Ganguly, on the other hand, spoke on the matches between the two sides at ICC events. Saying that it has gotten quite monotonous since the Men in Blue have won one-sidedly on several occasions. Ganguly also admitted that team India’s World Cup matches versus Australia are “better matches.”
“There is a lot of hype surrounding this match (India vs. Pakistan), but the quality has been low for a long time because India has been winning one-sidedly. ” Pakistan will almost certainly defeat India for the first time in the T20 World Cup in Dubai. India did not fare well in that competition, but in my opinion, India vs. Australia is a better World Cup game because the quality is higher,” Ganguly said on Star Sports.

Ganguly stated ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023 that the current Pakistan lineup, led by Babar Azam, may be dangerous when playing on flat pitches. Furthermore, he stated that the conditions normally favor their batsmen and bowlers because they know how to utilize them during games.
“This Pakistan team is also strong, and the match will be exciting.” Pakistan becomes a good team on flat wickets because their hitters make good use of the conditions. They have fast bowlers who take advantage of the situation. Because their batting quality has been good in the past, I can’t predict what will happen in the future, but India has always marched ahead. It will always be a major event.
