mi vs srh online cricket bettingMI vs SRH Dream11 Prediction: Fantasy Cricket Tips, Today’s Playing 11 and Pitch Report for IPL 2022, Match 65

The 65th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) will see the Mumbai Indians (MI) take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday, 17 May.

The Mumbai Indians haven’t had the best of campaigns in IPL 2022, reeling at the bottom of the IPL points table 2022. However, they are looking ahead with the likes of Tristan Stubbs and Ramandeep Singh getting an extended run this season. They come into the game on the back of a big win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and look to avoid the wooden spoon with a couple of wins. They face Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are all but out of the running for a top-four finish. Heading into the game on the back of five consecutive losses, Sunrisers will be eyeing to return to winning ways today. With some of the best T20 players taking to the field, another cracking game beckons in IPL 2022.

  MI XI

Rohit Sharma (c), Ishan Kishan (wk), Tilak Varma, Ramandeep Singh, Tristan Stubbs, Tim David, Daniel Sams, Hrithik Shokeen, Kumar Kartikeya, Jasprit Bumrah and Riley Meredith.

  SRH XI

Abhishek Sharma, Kane Williamson (c), Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Shashank Singh/Abdul Samad, Washington Sundar, Marco Jansen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan and Umran Malik.

MI vs SRH, Indian Premier League 2022, Match 65

Date and Time: 17th May 2022, 7:30 PM IST

  Venue: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai

The pitch at the Wankhede Stadium has been a touch on the slower side with the batters having to work hard for their runs. There should be some swing early on for the pacers, who will be key in the powerplay phase. The pitch could even out as the match progresses, despite there being some turn on offer for the spinners. Dew could come into play in the second half, enticing IPL teams to chase upon winning the toss. 160-170 should be a good total, with wickets in hand being key.

  Wicketkeeper

Ishan Kishan: Ishan Kishan hasn’t had the best of IPL 2022 campaigns, unable to score freely and get off to explosive starts like he usually does. However, he has shown glimpses of his ability in recent games and is a good player of both pace and spin. With the southpaw due for a big one, he is certainly one to keep an eye out for in this game.

  Batter

Rahul Tripathi: Rahul Tripathi has had a stop-start sort of campaign, impressing in patches with his intent in the middle overs. Batting in the top order, Tripathi is known for his attacking approach and can bat deep into an innings as well. Given Tripathi’s ability against pace and spin, he should be a good addition to your MI vs SRH Dream11 fantasy team.

  All-rounder

Washington Sundar: Washington Sundar recently returned from injury, but wasn’t able to put in a big performance against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). However, Sundar is SRH’s leading all-rounder and has put in decent performances in IPL 2022. While his batting prowess has served SRH well, his knack for picking up wickets in the powerplay and middle overs should give him the nod in your MI vs SRH Dream11 fantasy team.

  Bowler

Jasprit Bumrah: Jasprit Bumrah has looked very much his usual self, stifling batters in the powerplay and death overs. Bumrah has picked up wickets at crucial intervals, allowing his colleagues to thrive as well. With the Mumbai Indians pacer in brilliant form, he is a must-have in your MI vs SRH Dream11 fantasy team.

MI may have stumbled upon the right way to play at Chennai in its previous match. Batting first, MI made 152 as a good start was followed by a difficult-to-score period in the death overs. The bowlers then staged a remarkable comeback in the final five overs of the second inning and helped MI get a win.

Armed with this knowledge, we think MI will adapt its game and will be aiming for a score of around 155-165 if it gets to bat first again. Rohit Sharma spent some time in the middle but was not his fluent best. Suryakumar Yadav was sublime and played the inning of the match as he scored 56 from just 36 deliveries.

Overall, though, the kind of batting performances that we have come to expect from MI in the past has been missing. We have gotten used to seeing Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, and even Krunal Pandya come out and boost totals but that is proving to be very difficult in Chennai.

Rohit Sharma does not like to change his team too much and so we don’t think there will be any change in the playing eleven for this match. Quinton de Kock and Ishan Kishan have enough balance in the bank to cover a few poor performances for sure.

The world-class bowling attack showed its quality in the previous match as Krunal Pandya, Rahul Chahar, Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, and even Marco Jensen did their job. If there was to be a change then we would like to see Jimmy Neesham in the lineup in place of Marco Jensen.

A match that seemed to be in the bag was somehow lost and that would hurt SRH very much. The IPL is usually a closely contested tournament and every single victory holds significance. This match could come back and haunt SRH as the fight for the playoff positions becomes closer.

For the time being, SRH needs to answer a few important questions. Can it afford to keep Kane Williamson on the bench? Has it got its batting order right? Is this the best bowling attack that SRh can put out at the moment?

Let us look at these questions objectively. We don’t think Kane Williamson is going to replace Jonny Bairstow after just one bad performance. He has been very good in tough Indian conditions and we think Williamson is just going to have to sit out. Warner, Rashid, and Holder are locked in for the time being.

The batting order could use a bit of tweaking. We are not sure that Wriddhiman Saha is the best option to open the batting and it is time to maximize Jonny Bairstow at the top of the order. That is where the most runs are being scored and holding him back serves no purpose.

The middle-order of Manish Pandey, Abdul Samad, Vijay Shankar, and Jason Holder is a bit sketchy but there is a lot of power there. On a good day, Samad and Holder could get a lot of runs very quickly.

The bowling lineup for SRH has done its job quite well and no changes seem to be necessary there either. Jason Holder started with three wickets and Rashid Khan is going to be very dangerous on this Chennai pitch every single time.

Shahbaz Nadeem was also very good and only took some stick in the last over he bowled.

SRH needs to just shift a few things around and we still think it can be one of the most impressive teams in IPL 2021.

Mumbai Indians were beaten by the Kolkata Knight Riders in their previous match but they did not come away disgraced from that encounter. In fact, Hardik Pandya showed that he has taken his batting to a whole different level in the last few months. His batting form gives the Mumbai Indians confidence that they have the depth in their side to overcome a top-order failure.

The Mumbai Indians seem like the best-balanced side in IPL 2019 at the moment. They have a very strong batting lineup and plenty of options with the ball as well. Mumbai has been changing its playing eleven a little in the last few matches and should avoid overdoing that as we head towards the playoffs.

Rohit Sharma, Quinton de Kock, Evin Lewis, Suryakumar Yadav, Kieron Pollard, and the Pandya brothers form a very strong batting lineup. Suryakumar Yadav has struggled this year and Rohit has not had the best IPL season either but this is still one batting lineup to fear.

It will be very interesting to see how they perform against the SUnrisers whose bowling has been doing very well in the previous few matches.

The pressure is going to be on Evin Lewis to justify his place in the side. The excellent batting conditions at the Wankhede provide the best chance for Lewis to get some runs and cement his place.

The bowling unit as a whole had a terrible time in the previous match. They were smashed to all parts of the ground by the Kolkata Knight Riders. Barinder Sran appeared to be lacking the quality needed at this level and may find himself on the bench after one match.

Bumrah, Malinga, Chahar, and the Pandya brothers still provide five compelling bowling options to the Mumbai Indians.

So much of this season for the Sunrisers has been about its openers. Jonny Bairstow and David Warner have been the most important players for the team by a huge margin. First Bairstow and now David Warner has left the tournament for national duty. Can the Sunrisers cope with a loss of this magnitude?

David Warner scored close to 700 runs in his 12 innings with eight fifty-plus scores. His replacement is probably going to be Martin Guptill, another excellent international opener, but someone who does not have a food record in India.

Guptill is going to filling some very big shoes and is going to be under a lot of pressure from the first ball he faces. Starting in Mumbai is the best thing for him since the pitch is best suited to his talents. Still, an entirely new opening partnership of Guptill and Saha is a big unknown for the Sunrisers at an important stage in the tournament. Another option is to send Kane Williamson to open the inning but the lack of middle order options could tilt in favor of Guptill.

The Sunrisers added Mohammad Nabi to their playing eleven in the previous match. He, along with Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, and Vijay Shankar have to take responsibility in the middle order.

Apart from Manish Pandey, there is no one in good form and this batting lineup does not give us too much confidence. David Warner was covering up a lot of faults in the Sunrisers batting and now that he has gone, a skilled Mumbai Indians bowling attack could expose their weaknesses.

The Sunrisers have found a good bowling rhythm in the previous few matches. We don’t think there will be any changes and should see the same attack against Mumbai. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, and Rashid Khan mi vs srh online cricket bettingMI vs SRHMatch & Dream 11 Prediction, Betting Tips, Playing 11, Pitch Report and Analysis – May 02, 2019 will lead the way with Mohammad Nabi and Abhishek Sharma as all-round options.

The Mumbai Indians are signing youngsters and giving them a go in this season of the IPL. Clearly, they see this now as a chance to build for the future since there is nothing much to gain from this season anyway hence we must stop assuming that they will be playing their strongest 11.

The Mumbai Indians have not batted well for the majority of the season as is pretty obvious by the results. Perhaps the one outlier to this has been Tilak Varma who has shown himself to be capable against all kinds of bowling and to be able to accelerate in the middle overs for his team.

He is the one batsman that we would back to score runs in this match as well. The question mark over Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma at the top of the order just fails to be resolved. If you do have to bet on them for anything it should be to score a six.

Jasprit Bumrah has shown signs of getting back to his best with the ball and that is a very positive sign for the Mumbai Indians. Daniel Sams and Riley Meredith are the other two overseas players that have given some teeth to the Mumbai bowling. The two spin options though remain quite underwhelming and we don’t see an easy way for Mumbai to address that in this match.

Sunrisers continue to baffle as their season of two halves frustrates their fans and supporters. 5 victories in a row during the first half of the season put them in an excellent place to make a run for the playoff places but a run of five consecutive defeats has now all but ended their chances of making the playoff.

One of the main reasons for this lack of success has to be the performance of Kane Williamson. If you just look at the batting impact statistically speaking that he has had the season then it is the worst for any better in any season of the IPL.

It does not help Hyderabad that he is also their captain and does cannot be dropped from the team. There have been some rumors that Williamson will not play these final couple of matches and instead make way for someone else.

Hyderabad’s biggest strength is its strong middle order where Nicholas Pooran, Aiden Markram, and Rahul Tripathi have been excellent with the bat and been able to score at a very fast pace.

Unfortunately for them, everything else around them seems to be crumbling.

A strong bowling lineup led by the hugely impressive Umran Malik gives Hyderabad a chance to make some dents in the Mumbai Indians batting but Mumbai is a team that plays high place very well. Bhuvaneswar Kumar Marco Janson and Washington Sundar will all have to step up to avoid conceding too many runs.
