It is also the fifth-highest partnership in T20Is for any wicket.
Babar remained undefeated on 110 off 66 balls, while Rizwan struck an unbeaten 88 off 51 balls as Pakistan put on a display for the packed crowd at Karachi’s National Stadium, only two days after suffering a humiliating setback in the series opener.
The victory snaps a three-game losing streak for the squad dating back to the Asia Cup.
Babar and Rizwan delivered a similar performance in the 2021 T20 World Cup as Pakistan cruised to a 10-wicket victory over archrival India.
The triumph brings much-needed cheer to a country that has been devastated by floods and is in desperate need of motivation.
