The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is rumored to be planning to give fast bowling legends. James Anderson and Stuart Broad dual positions as player-coaches. The cricket board made this selection based on the pace duo’s efficiency and consistency with the ball in the longest format.
Notably, both Anderson and Broad chose to forego their respective white-ball careers. Following the 2015 World Cup, which also happened to be their final big ICC tournament, in order to extend their red-ball careers. In recent years, the great pacers have performed admirably both individually and together.

McCullum wishes to streamline the Test environment’s support staff
According to the Daily Mail. ” McCullum is known to seek a simplification of the support personnel inside the Test environment. With Lewis returning to work within the ECB’s pathway system. It would mean a partnership who have shared 997 Test wickets when playing together training their successors.”
According to the BBC, “Paul Collingwood, Marcus Trescothick. Jeetan Patel look poised to stay as Test team assistants. While Matthew Mott has hired David Saker and Mike Hussey for the next two months of limited-overs cricket.”
Since Brendon McCullum and Ben Stokes took over as Test coach and captain of the Three Lions, the team has only experienced one defeat in the home series. Despite their late fight, England have little chance of reaching the final of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) at home next year.
Meanwhile, James Anderson and Stuart Broad have grown from strength to strength over the years. Broad presently has 566 Test wickets, while Anderson has 667. During the recently finished third and final Test match against South Africa at The Oval, Stuart eclipsed Australian pace star Glenn McGrath’s Test count of 563 wickets.
