Former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir has suggested that the team management replace Yuzvendra Chahal in the playing XI with Avesh Khan ahead of the match. Meanwhile, the former India opener suggested that young leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi be given a “longer run.”
“Avesh (Khan) in place of (Yuzvendra) Chahal. Continue to work with Ravi Bishnoi; he has done everything in this game. Chahal hasn’t bowled particularly well in this competition, so it’s probably time to give Bishnoi a longer run “After the match against Pakistan on Sunday, Gambhir spoke to Star Sports.
Last week, Bishnoi had figures of 1 for 26 in four overs against Pakistan. Avesh did not play in the Super-4 match, but Chahal did return figures of 1 for 43 in four overs.
