In the women’s category, the gold medal-winning Australian duo of Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath also nominate. Rodrigues was a key member of the Indian team that advanced to the Commonwealth Games finals in Birmingham. She finished fifth on the run-scorers list with 146 runs in five matches.

ICC’s ‘Player Of The Month: Rodrigues was India’s top run-scorer in the crucial match against Barbados

Mooney, on the other hand, was the Birmingham CWG’s leading run-scorer. She began the month with a brilliant unbeaten 49-ball 70 against Pakistan in Australia’s final Group A game. McGrath wowed everyone with her all-around brilliance. She was a key factor in Australia making history by winning the gold medal in the event’s first-ever women’s tournament.
With eight wickets in five matches, she finished the tournament as the tournament’s joint second-highest wicket-taker.
Moreover, Men’s nominees include England Test captain Ben Stokes, Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza, and New Zealand all-rounder Mitchell Santner.
Stokes broke the back of South Africa’s middle-order in the second Test against the Proteas in Manchester, taking the wickets of Aiden Markram and Rassie van der Dussen as the visitors were bowled out for 151.
