Cricket South Africa announced the nominees for the 2021-22 season. The ceremony will be held on August 14.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced the nominees for the 2021/22 CSA Awards on Tuesday, August 2nd. The virtual ceremony will take place on August 14 (Sunday) and will include award categories for both men and women in both domestic and international arenas. The CSA Awards judging panel this year includes Jeremy Fredericks (Convenor), Natalie Germanos, Crystl Arnold, Lungani Zama, Stuart Hess, and Clinton Du Preez.
The Proteas are having a fantastic season, particularly on the international circuit, where they recently defeated England in a three-match T20I series. Previously, they defeated the West Indies, Ireland, India (drew), and Sri Lanka. The Proteas also had a successful tournament, winning four of their five games in the 2021 T20 World Cup.

South Africa finished their Test season without a series loss.
South Africa has excelled not only in white-ball formats, but also in Test cricket. The Proteas defeated the West Indies at home and also won a Test series against India and Bangladesh. South Africa also drawn in a Test series with New Zealand. The Proteas are currently rank third in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings and fourth in the T20 rankings. They will, however, want to improve their ODI rankings, as they currently sit sixth on the table.
